Geneen Roth tips on Eating with others

When you are eating with others, I suggest that you put your silverware down from time to time during the meal to give your full attention to what else is taking place. I also suggest that at some point you excuse yourself and go to the restroom to give yourself time away from the food and interaction, time to ask yourself how you are feeling, if you want more to eat. In your own way, you need to find the subtle balance between eating with others and not losing yourself.
