2012: A Roundup

 

I'm not really one for New Year's Resolutions (great article on this HERE), but I am one for reflecting. And although part of my reflecting involves reflecting on the things that have happened and what I have learned, that is not what this post is about (for that, check out this post). I am rounding up the year by sharing with you guys some of my favourite things that I came across in 2012, so here it goes...

Books I Read (and Loved):

  • Angry Conversations with God by Susan E. Isaacs (brilliant!)
  • The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis (a definite must read)
  • Addiction & Grace by Gerald May (my new favourite author)
  • Will & Spirit by Gerald May
  • Life Without Ed by Jenni Schaefer (highly recommend this for ED recovery)
  • Gaining by Aimee Liu
  • From the Library of C.S. Lewis by James Stuart Bell (a collection of essays/excerpts that inspired Lewis’ writing)

  • The entire “Vice Verses” album by Switchfoot was my soundtrack this year. One of my favourites: Dark Horses
  • LOVED Lindsey Pavao’s version of Somebody That I Used to Know
  • My favourite rock band The Pretty Reckless. Check out Under the Water
  • Melanie Martinez was by far my favourite on The Voice this season, here’s my favourite of hers: Too Close
